http://www.motorbeam.com/ tests the acceleration of the 2015 Mahindra XUV500, the flagship vehicle from the Indian automaker. Launched in 2011, the XUV500 was given a facelift earlier this year but the engine remains the same, the 2.2-litre mHawk motor producing 140 BHP and 330 Nm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Power is channelled to either the front wheels (FWD) or all four wheels (AWD) with the monocoque body structure making the XUV lighter than its immediate rival, the Tata Safari Storme.

The Mahindra XUV500 comes loaded with a ton of features and the top-spec W10 trim also gets a sunroof.
