Mahindra mPact XTV 750S - advice needed

My 2016 XTV is out of warranty - it has been a great machine with one exception and the authorized repair dealers near me don't have an answer. Issue is it is extremely difficult to shift using the gear handle on the dash. Literally have to use both hands to force into any gear. Is there something inside the drive train that needs to be replaced/adjusted? I know this is built by Intimidator under the Mahindra brand but neither company has been able to help.
    Thanks in advance!
    Gary

Did you figure this problem out?

I would suspect the shift cable. It’s what I dislike most on my mPact. To me it was stiff, spongy, and difficult to find gears from day one. Should be easy to troubleshoot, disconnect cable from the trans and check both.

Haven’t gotten around to trying it, but I’ve wanted to build a solid shift linkage. It would have to be routed around the engine, but I think doable.
